Cisco is looking for a Pre-Sales engineer in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area to be focused on selling its Content Security Portfolio products, which comprise mainly the former Ironport and ScanSafe product lines.
Cisco Content Security Systems Engineers work very closely with their sales team. The Systems Engineer is responsible to help accelerate the closing of business within the sales territory.
This position encompasses sales engineering, project management, network design, integration engineering and pre sales customer support responsibilities.
The Systems Engineer engages with the customer from the point of pre-sales evaluation through all technical planning and evaluation processes until the purchase order is received. The Systems Engineer is responsible for customer satisfaction throughout the process. The Systems Engineer routinely handles customer issues that arise.
This position covers Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota & North Dakota Enterprise regions. Travel within the assigned territory will be required, mostly focused on Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Minimum Experience Requirements:
Outstanding technical sales skills
Strong Security mindset
Experience with Email Servers and Web Proxies
Passion for customer satisfaction
4+ years in a role with customer support and sales engineering responsibilities
Strong project management skills
Strong networking knowledge
Knowledge of protocols: HTTP, SMTP, DNS, FTP, SSH, TCP/IP, WCCP
Strong UNIX system administrator skills
Experience with shell scripting in perl and other scripting languages and/or experience with FreeBSD is a plus.
Fanatical attention to detail and follow-up
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Technical proficiency with email and the email infrastructure
Experience deploying physical product or appliance a plus
Self-starter, takes initiative and responsibility to completion
Collaborative, works with account teams and other parts of the organization
Cisco and CISSP certifications a plus
Minimum Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree is required.

Cisco seeks a Consulting System Engineer to provide guidance and assist account teams in building solutions to address specific customer needs. In this position, you will be working with technology experts in the Security space to help position the solution effectively against competing offerings
Responsibilities:
• Technical pre-sales support for Cisco-direct and channel partners sale teams
• Proactively seek out new sales opportunities by developing new and existing technical relationships within accounts
• Present Cisco technical value proposition to customers and partners
• Proactively drive new and incremental business opportunities
• Provide Cisco product education to our Direct and Channel Partners
• Ensure success of customer evaluations
• Documentation of client feature requests and issues for Product Management and Customer Support
• Support Cisco and partner seminars and industry trade shows
• Drive the design of customer solutions using Cisco-IronPort
• Develop technical knowledge of Cisco and associated technologies

• CCIE Certification Required

• Strong presentation skills and the ability to build and present high quality products demonstrations to both technical and executive audiences.
