Senior Java Software Engineer -- Java / JavaScript / JSP / JSTL

PSBU, The Physical Security Business Unit (PSBU) within Emerging Technologies Group offers a full-spectrum Physical Security software solution consisting of Physical Facility Access Control Systems, network-centric video surveillance systems supporting video transmission, monitoring, recording, and management, IP-Cameras and also Incident Response Systems with notification and Push-to-Talk Audio collaboration. The next generation Push-to-Talk Communication systems bridge audio with video and allow First Responders and Incident Dispatchers to collaborate to respond to incidents better. The PSBU Mobile Audio-Video client project takes this one step further and bridges the existing Incident Response Systems and PTT Radios with rich media mobile clients.

Responsibilities:
The developer will be responsible for building add-on features to the Cisco IPICS PTT-based Incident Management system, driving powerful voice, video, rich-media features into real-world mobile device applications. This will entail enhancement of the Java-Server at the heart of Cisco IPICS to integrate advanced Land-Mobile Radio features and also to stream media to IPICS endpoints leveraging Cisco's IP infrastructure.

This position also includes the following responsibilities:
- Interacting with external companies
- Participate in the architecture and design of our radio control, radio trunking, etc components
- Defining the interfaces and the architecture for providing seamless integration of the IPICS system with existing and forthcoming radio standards.

Requirements: We are looking for a self motivated individual with outstanding problem-solving skills and solid java software development experience in a team setting. Experience in radio standards, operations, and commonly used interfaces will be ideal. Experience in Struts, JSP and Javascript is highly desired. Candidates who have a more diverse background such as exposure to Audio-Video streaming and conferencing Technologies will be ideally suited for the position. You must have excellent debugging and optimization skills with good written and verbal communication skills. Program Manager, Data Center Partners & Products

Manage strategic and tactical relationships with Data Center BU OEM partners (e.g. EMC, HP, IBM, Dell). Responsible for day-to-day relationship management with, and development of new channel partnerships. Major activities include new product introduction (NPI) of Nexus 5000 products through OEM partners, running OEM quarterly business reviews, responding to OEM requests and escalations, and building relationships with OEM team members. Must be able to lead cross-functional OEM teams, balance operational and strategic issues, gain respect of OEM customer/partner team, negotiate contract issues to successful resolution, and identify and drive opportunities to increase revenues through the partnership. Program management experience in BU operations, engineering, manufacturing, and or sales a plus. Must be self-starter and willing to drive operational issues to closure.

Skills Required

Requires a strong mix of business and technical skills, supported by considerable experience in the following areas: Previous experience in Sales, Channels and or Product Marketing roles. Leadership and program management of development plan/schedule, milestones, interdependencies and resource requirements. Experience in influencing the direction of engineering development and partnerships. Ability to successfully interact with and influence peer and functional peer groups at all management levels, as well as with outside vendors (OEM, ODM). Strong and proven leadership and influence management skills leading virtual cross-functional teams.

Previous experience within and/or knowledge of the Storage/SAN industry, Fibre Channel and FCoE products and key competitors is invaluable. Work is reviewed and success is measured based on attainment of product release milestones (i.e. Cisco FCS, Partner Qualification, General Availability) and revenue growth.

Consulting Systems Engineer -- Physical Security IP Networking -- Midwest US

The SE is responsible for working with our internal/external customer and partners to help drive revenue for the Physical Security business. The SE’s primary focus will be to grow the network-centric CCTV and Security business. The SE will also focus on owning customer relations and providing technical coverage for Physical Security Sales team and customers. Travel required for this role.

Responsible for driving solution sales for Physical Security which includes knowledge in:

Access Control
IP Cameras
IPICS
VSM (Video Surveillance Manager)
Stream Manager

Understanding of industries driving convergence of these technologies

Be able to work with Cisco Account Managers, Systems Engineers and Cisco Physical Security Partners to plan Sales Strategy, develop proposals, deliver customer presentations and / or demonstrations and close business.
Responsible for developing a Business Plan to meet and exceed assigned quota.


* 7+ years-related experience in Public Safety/Interoperability industries. In addition to Cisco product experience and relevant experience in key competitor offerings in the Security and radio interoperability markets. Pre-Sales experience required. Candidates with CCIE/CCNA certification preferred.

* In-depth knowledge of Core IP Network Routing/Switching, Radio Interoperability, Video Surveillance and the convergence of Information Security and Physical Security.

* Should have knowledge with the Security market and the competitors in this space
* Familiarity with an overall physical security solution which includes products from our ATG and STG business units
*Must be able to successfully work with Account teams to develop “SE as a trusted advisor” status, so you can own the opportunities.


Specific Responsibilities will include:

1. Working with partners, customers, the ESO enterprise region teams, Public Sector and the commercial teams. In addition to extended teams, i.e. IBSG, Verticals etc. Collaborate closely with Cisco Sales Teams at various levels to sell Physical Security Solutions to approved verticals in the Public Safety First Responder, Public Sector and Gaming industry.

2. Work with Channel team and partners to find and develop Physical Security solution opportunities.

3. Provide specific solutions/technology/ product consulting, technical and sales support for accounts, extended sales teams and partners. Mentor internal/external partner System Engineers

4. Perform in-depth and high-level technical and sales presentations for customers and partners.

5. Scale the business by managing calls and presentations articulating the business value of Physical Security.

1. Must have knowledge of radio communications, surveillance systems, core network technologies (routing/switching) and understand how to position these technologies to provide a solution that solves the customer’s needs.

The Cisco Datacenter Switching Technology Group is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to lead the competitive effort for the MDS 9000 Family of Storage Networking products.

The Senior Marketing Manager will define and drive the overall competitive strategy, product positioning, development and delivery of collateral and outbound competitive campaigns, push of value proposition, presentation to Cisco field, customers, and Original Storage Manufacturers (OSMs).

The strategic position will also require managing the competitive program, coordinating across various internal functional groups, communicating to OSMs, tie-in with programs.
