Director, GRC Investigations - San Jose, CA

The position reports to the VP Governance Risk and Controls and is responsible for general oversight and management of investigation teams responsible for the investigation of fraud and unethical conduct involving management or other employees and the investigation of fraudulent behavior involving Cisco Services. The person in this position will also lead the Services Governance and Compliance team and Service Process Improvements team.
In addition this person will be responsible for:
1. The formal disclosure and reporting of investigative activities to Management, auditors and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors pursuant to the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley.
2. Ongoing educating, monitoring and enforcing of both best practice and minimum standards for the performance of investigations, both within GRC and Cisco generally.
3. Preparing business cases and performance measurement reports to evaluate the team’s effectiveness and to assess risk to the company.
4. Developing / Driving consistent investigative and process improvement practices across the team.
5. Effectively coordinating the investigative process with our internal Cisco partners including Human Resources, Employee Relations, Finance, Brand Protection, Legal, Safety and Security, Risk Management, Manufacturing, Logistics, Public Relations and other regional executives to deliver professional, consistent, and timely investigative services.

Ideally candidates for this role would be able to demonstrate:

a) Success in the managing of investigations of complex financial fraud or illegal acts. A thorough understanding of legal considerations in conducting corporate investigations, including, but not limited to, relevant federal laws and regulations, rules of evidence, preservation of evidence, employee, and privacy laws, and other applicable rules or regulations;
b) A demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast changing environment, with changing priorities and often with tight time constraints;
c) Strong communications and messaging skills across all mediums. This includes verbal, written (including documentation and report writing) and presentations;
d) Experience in the coordination, leadership and management of cross functional teams of high caliber specialists.
e) International experience is preferred;
f) Quickly being able to understand and articulate Cisco’s business model;
g) Staying current on the trends in Corporate Governance, both internationally and in the USA.


Qualifications

a) College degree, with a JD/LL.B or advanced degree preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a Tech Lead position for new product development, the Cisco Management Heartbeat Server (CMHS), which is a key component of a consumer home security application. Begin as key developer on the project, and as understudy to Prototyping Lead, in Scrum team and then take over technical product ownership. Project is to build a high-performance backend server that is a key component of a larger distributed system. The system shall scale to 250,000 concurrent connections.

Lead Java Developer responsible for the design, development, and integration of multiple complex system components (hardware and software) for a large commercial consumer application. By analyzing requirements and working in conjunction with system architects, other developers, and test engineers, the Java Software Developer will write specification documents, create programs, repair defects, consult on test plans, and develop tools. The Managed Services Delivery team will be launching a new set of services in the area of Small Cell technologies and SP WIFI leveraging the Cisco Cloud Connect (formerly WANDA) architecture. These services will enable a Small Cell / Wi-Fi acceleration go-to-market approach to help mobile operators seamlessly offload congestion in 3G networks through Wi-Fi data offload. Cisco Cloud Connect is a set of cloud-hosted services providing centralized management, recording historical statistics and running additional network services such as user authentication and system alerts.

Key to successfully executing on our Small Cell / SP WIFI strategy will be designing scalable services assurance and fulfillment architectures that enable simple deployment, monitoring and provisioning of SP WIFI infrastructure and access points.

The prospective candidate must possess an in depth knowledge of Wireless technology including WIFI, FEMTO, RF Design, Wireless Controllers, ISG, and related technologies. Ideally the candidate should be able to abstract how these technologies are being applied in SP managed service environments.

Technical background must also include a detailed understanding of NMS/OSS/BSS frameworks, relevant networking and OSS/BSS/NMS functions like Order Management, Service Enablement/Fulfillment, Service Monitoring/Performance, Order Decomposition, OSS integration, and key management standards (TR69 and others) and how they apply to SP WIFI.

Cisco is looking for a security sales specialist covering the federal healthcare market. The skillset is a combination of technical know-how, sales skills at C-Level and midlevel, team presentation skills and a passion for security. 5+ Years of extensive technical background in network security and demonstrated success working collaboratively with teams and building value propositions based on customer mission requirements. A demonstrated track record in achieving quota attainment, exceptional sales presentations and public speaking are all required skills. Ideal candidates will know multiple aspects of network security: intrusion prevention, network access control, firewall, etc. Must be an aggressive self-starter with ability to build executive relationships, articulate Cisco''s security solutions and business strategies, create the demand and close business.

Federal and Healthcare experience helpful. Expertise in network security, sales skills at C-Level and midlevel, presentation skills. In-depth knowledge in one of the following areas preferred: Intrusion detection/prevention, network access control, firewalls.
