Cisco's entry into the Sports and Entertainment business has grown over the
past few years from a startup to a multi-million dollar business with dozens
of high profile Customer successes. As we grow this effort and expand
internationally, strategic industry partnerships have become a key part of
our future success. Cisco is looking for an experience industry person in
sports and entertainment who can lead our efforts to develop the alliance
strategy and execute specific partnerships in tight alignment with our
Sports and Entertainment team.

Job Scope
• Responsible for developing and managing key strategic partnerships that are key to our success in expanding Cisco’s Sports & Entertainment (S&E) business

Organizational Responsibilities and Environment
o Working with S&E team build plan for identifying and engaging key strategic partnerships in the Sports and Entertainment market to enable business to meet scaling requirements and address new market segment opportunities
o Working closely with the S & E sales team, create joint business plans(technology and go to market) with key partners driving incremental business
o Working in cooperation with the S & E solutions team, develop joint solutions roadmaps leveraging Cisco and partners technology/Services/sales teams
o Working with the S and E partner enablement, build partner enablement plans to execute agreed to business plans with these key partners
o Execute joint go to market plans with key partners around joint solutions offerings
o Deliver against revenue expectations for these partnerships

Critical Skills
• Strong Analytic frameworks and working knowledge of value chains and profit pool analysis in the Stadium business necessary to build compelling and differentiated value propositions for Cisco and the ecosystem partners
• Knowledge of Sports & Entertainment market and domain knowledge of the industry structure, players, and competitive offerings
• Understanding of key trends in the market and the role that on-line learning tools will play in this space
• Previous partner business development experience including joint business plans, negotiation of legal agreements (Licensing models, joint resale agreements, Joint development and IP agreements, etc. as necessary)
• Financial Modeling Skills for business case development and ROI
• Technical knowledge i.e. Basic Understanding of networking technologies and customer benefits(key technologies include networked video , wireless, security , mobile and converged infrastructures)
• Ability to manage Small virtual team as market opportunity is validated and ecosystem work begins to scale. Could be as many as 4-6 people over the next 24 months.
• Capable of being considered for Director level role and as the long term leader of this ecosystem

Previous Job Experience
• 5-10 Years in the Sports & Entertainment market for Stadium based technical systems
• Partner and Business development experience in a Strategic partnering role
• Global Experience in at least 1-2 theaters outside of North America
