Linux Kernel Developer

Web Application Developers -- Four Positions

This position will be in Physical Security Business Unit (PSBU) within Cisco's Emerging Technologies Group. PSBU is seeking a skilled Web application developer to join our Application software team to participate in the creation of our next generation video surveillance solution. In this position, you will participate in developing state of the art GUI software in a Web application using DHTML, AJAX, CSS, Object Oriented JavaScript, Java and PHP.

Responsibilities:
-You will join a team developing a state of the art Web application for digital video surveillance where you will develop GUI software in an advanced Web 2.0 application.
- This is a highly visible team and will be providing the key customer-facing application for our business unit.
-The application will support live and recorded MPEG-4, H.264, MPEG-2 and MJPEG video through a Web-based GUI and will offer tight integration with enterprise applications.
-Such applications include: access control, video analytics, network management and command and control.
-The application will provide a complete management system for video surveillance and security and must scale to systems with 10's of thousands of cameras and video sources. --Technologies required for this product will include JAVA, PHP, DirectShow, AJAX and extensive DHTML GUI design.
-The application is targeting multiple markets including Casino Gaming, Transportation Systems, Retail Chains, Banking and Public Sector.

Requirements:
-BSCS with at least 5 years commercial experience in developing non-trivial Web applications.
- Motivated self-starter with good communication and organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional team environment under aggressive schedules.
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, HTML and PHP is required.
- Knowledge of EXT or GWT is a huge plus
- Experience with an Object Oriented programming in web server technologies such as JSP is desirable.
- Experience in SOAP, XML, SQL, J2EE is also desirable.
- Knowledge of ActiveX/COM interaction is a bonus.

Embedded Systems Engineer - C / Linux

Participate on the GSBU Diagnostics Team developing embedded software for board/ASIC/FPGA bring up, validation and manufacturing. Open positions include projects on our next generation K10 platform using multi-core CPUs, large FPGAs and custom ASICS. A Linux based diagnostics platform is under consideration. The product family is Catalyst 4000 using modular Ethernet chassis' running L2 and L3 Ethernet switching, as well as many other hardware supported features, at all industry supported speeds including 10 gigabit.

Skills:
- C embedded system programming (C++ a plus) - Device driver and software-driven hardware debug skills

IronPort / Cisco Systems Web Security Systems Engineer -- Seattle, WA

IronPort Systems Engineers work very closely with their sales team and the Regional SE team. The Systems Engineer is responsible to help accelerate the closing of business within the sales territory.

This position encompasses sales engineering, project management, network design, integration engineering and pre sales customer support responsibilities.

The Systems Engineer engages with the customer from the point of pre-sales evaluation through all technical planning and evaluation processes until the purchase order is received. The SE is responsible for working with our internal/external customer and partners to help drive revenue for the Physical Security business. The SE’s primary focus will be to grow the network-centric CCTV and Security business. Manager, Product Management / Marketing

The GSBU/CSSTG SP vision is to build service-enabled quad-play deployments with various access methods. To realize this vision, GSBU/CSSTG is building the next-generation mid-market U-PE/PE-Aggregation carrier-Ethernet platform as a critical part of Cisco’s carrier-Ethernet portfolio. This next-gen 4500 platform leverages the unique centralized architecture of the 4500 that has low cost, low power usage and high L2/L3 performance.

This is a strong leadership position to be part of an exciting, dynamic, small team to enable the CSSTG SP vision. Below are the key responsibilities.

- Support strategic customer engagements and aggressively generate demand to win and accelerate SP revenues.

- Serve as a technical subject matter expert on Metro-Ethernet technologies and solutions to external customers and internal with engineering. Involve in product definition and release planning process.

- Provide market and business case analysis, product forecast and product pricing.

- Duties include leading network planning discussions, presenting technology updates, responding to RFI/RFPs, and supporting lab trials.

- Author technology documents, solution white papers and application notes regarding Metro-Ethernet.
