If so, then Cisco wants you to join the group that works on WAN Optimization. This individual contributor role leads definition of Cisco's Data Center and Branch Office products.
Responsibilities include:
* Defining product features by understanding the market, customers, and new opportunities
* Communicating to Cisco field and customers the product's capabilities, positioning in the market, and long term vision
* Understanding competitors’ positioning and strategies and developing Cisco strategy, positioning and response
* Working closely with account teams and customers
* Driving cross-functional product management engagements including software features, innovation as well as contribute to future WAN Optimization platforms
The following skills are required for this position:
* Solid understanding of WAN Optimization technology, Content Distribution, Video Distribution, IPv4/v6, and general IP networking
* Detailed understanding of operating system architecture and high availability computing including debug-ability, manageabiity and reliability
* 5+ years Product Manager and/or Sales Engineering experience in high-end routing area, preferably with service provider customers
* Ability to prioritize in the face of multiple requests and to complete deliverables
* Superior verbal and written communications skills and presentation skills
* Dynamic, enthusiastic and self-initiative personality
