Cisco is looking for a Retail Store Manager that will help build the success of a new premium service business which serves as both a retail sales operation and demonstration showcase.
As a key member of the team, the Store Manager will be responsible for hiring and managing store personnel and overseeing all in-store operations to achieve sales, service, organization and customer satisfaction goals in compliance with company procedures.
As this is a brand new service business on the cutting edge of technology, Cisco is looking for a dynamic individual that can grow with the role and the potential international expansion of this innovative business opportunity.
The Store Manager will have broad involvement in the development and operation of the business, including:
• Manage all in-store operations, to achieve sales, service, organization, customer satisfaction, and profitability goals for the store
• Design, develop and document the store operational practices
• Recruit, hire, and develop a diverse and talented team
• Provide excellent service with personal customer interaction and technical knowledge of store services
• Take responsibility for the store budget, including labor costs and overall expenses
• Create and analyze store-level reports, reporting information to staff and upper management
• Define, communicate and execute on innovative strategies for business growth
• Support of new store and partner expansion opportunities
Functional Requirements & Skills:
• Demonstrated leadership and high business judgment. Familiarity with a broad range of business models and value chains
• Superior analytical skills as it pertains to problem-solving, operations modeling, and financial reviews
• Ability to manage and interpret store budget and accounting / financial statements. Support of customer billing statements and inquiries. Strong Microsoft Excel and Office skills.
• Process oriented with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and to implement change.
• Networking, communications technologies, and/or web applications expertise. Capable of understanding and training others on basic product technology, as well as simple troubleshooting support to escalate in-store technical issues.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and persuasion skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience and Qualifications:
• The ideal candidate has both business and technical background, and direct experience operating, evaluating, and launching successful retail operations.
• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience with retail or in a premium service oriented industry. Prior experience as a store manager, product manager, operations manager, business development and/or process control manager would all be relevant to the role.
• A self-motivated, results-oriented professional with proven leadership abilities in a collaborative setting. Strong bias towards action; able to move quickly and decisively.
• Hands-on and flexible individual willing to handle multiple roles as this emerging business ramps up.
Educational Background:
BS or equivalent.
