This position is for Software Testing of NX-OS on the CISCO MDS Platform (Fibre Channel Switch)
The candidate will work with the existing test team members to design, develop and execute test cases, scripts and test plans to thoroughly cover Cisco MDS features and interoperability.
The candidate will develop automated scripts for the test cases that will be identified as automatable. These scripts will be reviewed and handed over to regression operations.
All features will be tested as per Cisco test engineering best practices.
The candidate will write feature/interoperability test plans, execute test plans and report on the testing in any of the following areas.

Development of Feature Test/interoperability test plans wrt Cisco MDS features Fibre Channel, iSCSI, FCIP, FCoE SNMP, MIBs. Write NX-OS Platform Independent & Platform Dependent Test Plans
Automate Test Plans using TCL.

This position is for Software Testing of NX-OS on the CISCO MDS Platform (Fibre Channel Switch)
The candidate will work with the existing test team members to design, develop and execute test cases, scripts and test plans to thoroughly cover Cisco MDS features and interoperability.
The candidate will develop automated scripts for the test cases that will be identified as automatable. These scripts will be reviewed and handed over to regression operations.
All features will be tested as per Cisco test engineering best practices.
The candidate will write feature/interoperability test plans, execute test plans and report on the testing in any of the following areas.
Responsilibities:
Development of Feature Test/interoperability test plans wrt Cisco MDS features Fibre Channel, iSCSI, FCIP, FCoE SNMP, MIBs. Write NX-OS Platform Independent & Platform Dependent Test Plans
Automate Test Plans using TCL.
Hands on experience with low level debugging, analyze traces from Analyzers to debug Fibre Channel , FCIP, FCoE
Design and build effective regression, performance , scaling and System Test beds. Integrate SANOS with external devices/equipment such as multi vendor Hosts, OS, Back up applications, tape libraries/drives and back end storage arrays.
Hosts and OS include : Windows, Linux, UNIX, Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, HPUX.
Storage arrays involve : IBM,EMC,Hitachi,HP,NetApp, Tape libraries; ADIC, STK (IBM/HP/STK drives)

Data Center Switching Technology Group (DCSTG) seeks an experienced Technical Leader to define, design and build a flexible, scalable framework for your new data center network product with Nexus 7000.

This is an excellent opportunity to participate in development of software in Data Center Switching Techonology Group (DCSTG) for its next generation Nexus 7000 platform. The work involves design and development in customized networking environment for some key routing protocol software.
You will be part of a fast paced team responsible for delivering quality code for large complex systems requirements. Responsibilities:
Participate on a project team of engineers involved in the development of software for our next generation data center switch product family, with emphasis in routing protocols. Define, architect, design, and deliver new software and features for the Nexus 7000 platform. You will be exposed to great design methodologies using finite state machines and various in-house tools/libraries. Write complete functional and design specs independently. Write portions of product spec. Lead development of subsystems. Design & Develop large portions of software independently and rapidly.
Required Skills:
•Experience in C programming skills.
•In-depth experience designing networking systems with knowledge of routing protocols.
•Experience in design and development in any of the Layer-3 Unicast routing protocols (e.g. OSPF, BGP, IS-IS), multicast routing protocols (e.g. PIM, IGMP, MSDP), MPLS signaling protocols (e.g. RSVP), Layer-3 VPNS, Layer2-VPNs.
•Hands on experience on switch/router software embedded system environment.
•Strong problem solving and software development/troubleshooting skills.
•MSEE/CS with 9+ years or BSEE/CS with 11+ years of related experience is required.
Required Skills/Experience:
•5+ years of experience in C programming skills.
•5+ years of experience in with Linux Kernel Development is required. Any experience in datacenter virtualization is a plus.
•5+ years of experience in a complex software design for distributed systems in embedded networking projects is required.
•Strong problem solving and software development/troubleshooting skills.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Strong planning and organizational capabilities.
•Able to plan and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
•Team-player, can-do attitude, will work well in a group environment while being able to contribute well on an individual basis.
•BS/MS EE degree and a total of 7+ years of related experience
