The successful candidate for this Senior Software Engineer position will join the Emerging Technologies Group and participate in further product development for our TelePresence Videoconferencing systems.
Responsibilities:
This position will be involved in addressing video transport performance issues related to jitter and latency, porting the video switch application from Linux 2.4 to 2.6, implementing media encryption on the video switch OR implementing solutions for integration of diverse voice systems and components.
Requirements:
Superb C/C++ coding skills working in a Linux environment (or 'Linux like' environment)
Excellent problem solving skills
Strong Linux experience to include Linux 2.4 and 2.6
Effective written and verbal communication and cross-team collaboration skills
Preferred:
Audio and voice experience to include IVR, VoiceXML and audio processing (higher level audio processing not at codec level)
Understanding of video transport to include knowledge of RTP/RTCP
Media security experience to include SRTP/SRTCP, EKT and key exchange management
General knowledge of networking useful
