MANAGER, TECHNICAL MARKETING

The Campus Switching Systems Technology Group (CSSTG) Technical Marketing team is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, technically savvy team member who is eager to learn and grow.

The following summarizes the requirements of an ideal candidate.

Responsible for leading a strong experienced TME team to grow the CSSTG switching business and increase net revenue by marketing, supporting, and promoting Cisco’s modular switching architectures and technology to customers, partners, and the field.

Technical skills:
- Strong understanding of LAN switching, routing and related protocols
- Solid understanding on how-to-create technical solutions and concepts, with focus on network design
- Is very familiar with Campus, WAN, and Metro Ethernet network design concepts
- Good understanding of Catalyst 6500 and Catalyst 4500/4900 architecture, and across the Cisco Catalyst portfolio
- Ability in articulating benefits of modular switching and platform architecture

Working experience:
- Has managed teams of 7-10 direct reports, monitoring their daily tasks, prioritizing them, offering regular feedback on performance, and providing recognition and rewards
- Demonstrates strategic skills and thinking
- Has worked with the field (SEs, CSEs, AMs) and channel partners, and local customers
- Has provided sales support for business critical accounts
- Understands competitive landscape and direction of modular switching in the marketplace
- Basic understanding of processes within Business Units
