The Prosumer Business Unit seeks an experienced Software Development Manager to bring the easy, mobile video experience to the enterprise.

The Manager of Video Client Software Development will build, lead and motivate a high-performance engineering development team responsible for designing and bringing new mobile video products to the enterprise market. Working collaboratively with sales, marketing and other cross-functional stakeholders, the manager defines and aligns team and business priorities. The ideal candidate brings a track record of success in a similar role, strong interpersonal skills, and a can-do attitude.

Position involves development and maintenance of personal, mobile video camcorders including firmware and application software. The successful candidate needs to have relevant experience and a very successful track record of delivering exciting consumer products with fast time to market needs, dealing with customer issues/sustaining, and with building and growing a winning team. Candidate will also need to coordinate cross- functional development programs across Cisco BU’s as well as with external vendors and provide development leadership for current and future products.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong background in application software development methodologies, software development/project life cycle.
- Experience with recruiting and building a team from scratch strongly preferred.
- Understanding of enterprise client access technologies, including network security (IPSec, TLS, MD5, etc.), supplicant (802.1X), and WiFi / 802.11.
- Experience developing consumer products strongly preferred.
- Experience with software development tools and procedures including revision-control systems, build system (Makefile), and bug reporting systems.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills. Strong teamwork, willingness to contribute to both large, complex projects, and smaller tasks as required. Flexible and adaptable to customer requirements. Great attitude, strong work ethic, self management skills, creative, detail oriented.
- Ability to collaborate globally and cross functionally with several Cisco business unit teams as well as external vendors.
