The Systems Engineer is responsible for ensuring the rapid, successful deployment of IronPort products at customer sites. This position encompasses sales engineering, project management, integration engineering and customer support responsibilities. The Systems Engineer is engaged with the customer from the point of pre-sales evaluation through all technical processes until the purchase order is received. The Systems Engineer is responsible for customer satisfaction throughout the process and must have a passion for ensuring our customers are delighted.
The Systems Engineer will routinely handle Tier 2-3 customer issues that arise. Unusual failures and custom function requests are escalated to Applications Engineering for technical resolution, with the Systems Engineer maintaining control of the account and communicating with the customer throughout the process. The Systems Engineer is in charge of building a relationship with the customer. Extensive travel within this region is required.
Required Experience and Skills:
• Minimum Secret (Top Secret preferred) Security Clearance Required
• Ability to travel up to 50 percent of the time to work at client's site (N. Va/DC metro area)
• Experience with enterprise messaging and security
• Outstanding technical sales skills
• Passion for customer satisfaction
• Strong project management skills
• Strong IT infrastructure technical skills including networking and operating systems
• Knowledge of protocols: SMTP, HTTP, DNS, WCCP, FTP, SSH, TCP/IP, LDAP

• Strong writing skills with the ability to create technical documentation
