You will be a Product Manager within TSBU - TelePresence Systems Business Unit which is part of Cisco's Emerging Markets Technologies Group. TelePresence, a virtual presence experience that uses advanced visual, audio, and interactive technologies to create an "in person" experience at a virtual conference table. TelePresence is one of the more recent examples of how Cisco is changing the way we work, live, play, and learn.
Job Description:
Product Manager is responsible for market analysis and quantitative sizing, customer interviews, writing MRD's and PRD's, driving new products and solutions through a commit process, pricing, forecasts, inventory analysis, competitive field analysis, and product management lifecycle for TelePresence Unified Communication features.
This product manager will drive TSBU level solutions that will likely cross over to include coordination with other Business Units. Such solutions will include capabilities that require coordination across the whole TSBU portfolio and include elements in other technology groups and organizations including VTG, ARTG, SRBU, SPSU, NSITE, TXBU, and ESE to name a few.
Will partner closely with product management peers and engineering within the business unit to develop solutions that encompass all elements of the TelePresence portfolio.
Present at conventions, Cisco Networkers, industry trade shows, customer executive briefings, and customer to both business decision makers and technical decision makers.
Requirements:
Must have strong market analytical skills to conduct both quantitative and qualitative market research to determine best product lineup.
Must have leadership experience is coordinating matrix organizations and successful with cross functional product coordination and planning.
desirable to have knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications Manager and VoIP protocols and standards.
Desirable to have extensive experience in the video conferencing or TelePresence industry.
Knowledge of both enterprise and service provider video communications requirements.
Must have experience working with customers to gather requirements and vet implementations.
Must be willing to travel when needed to conduct customer interviews or participate at trade shows Strong writing and communication skills are required. Must be very familiar with Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Education:
Typically requires BSEE/CS or Finance, Marketing or equivalent plus 10+ years related experience in marketing VOIP technologies and applications. MBA or advanced degree required.
