We have a current opening for Technical Marketing Engineer to work in the Consumer TelePresence Business Unit of our Emerging Technologies Group (ETG).
You will join the team that is building Consumer TelePresence, a virtual presence experience that uses advanced visual, audio, and interactive technologies to create an in person experience over the network.
Responsibilities:
• Creates technical solutions and concepts as well as marketing new Cisco products and services.
Defines demos, trials in early stages for new product concept
• Works with indirect channels and partners to communicate technical solutions or service function and features and to drive sales and provide project requirements to PM.
• Assists with critical partner accounts as technical liaison
• Develops and delivers complex technical presentations.
• Provides systems level competitive analysis.
• Develops and writes design and implementation guidance for given BU solution sets.
• Interacts with direct manager, PM and Engineering Directors within BU responsibility as well as other relevant business partners. Strategic: BU solution.
Requirements:
• Typically requires BSCS or BSEE or equivalent plus 7-10 years related experience.
• Thorough understanding of networking technology and strong technical knowledge of Cisco products.
• Experience in building and designing video, consumer electronics and service provider networks.
• Works with limited supervision in defining initial goals and addressing complex issues as they arise
• Outstanding communication skills and demonstrated ability in developing and delivering complex technical presentations and written design guides.
• Understands the inter-BU dependencies and develops an action plan to address the problem.
• Works with PM and the field to understand and position competitive issues at the system level
