In anticipation of hiring a UCS Solution Specialist in Toronto, I'm sharing details on a position we would like to hire:
In this role the individual will be accountable for developing and driving the Canadian GTM strategy for UCS with alignment with the Theater strategy. The individual will work in collaboration with DC Solutions Specialists, Account Teams, Marketing, Product Management, Customer Advocacy, Finance and Channels to position and sell UCS into all Segments of the market.
The individual will develop and manage a sales strategy which will meet or exceed bookings targets. Provide weekly/monthly/quarterly sales forecasting and visibility into sales activity by keeping a current pipeline using Cisco forecasting tools. Assuming a consultative sales role, the candidate will assist account teams in effectively packaging, pricing, and presenting solutions to customers, including ROI and value propositions and involve Cisco services to ensure a successful implementation of the Data Center solutions.
Strong ability to provide thought leadership, education and to collaborate with all functional groups on pricing and competitive strategies, best practices, market intelligence, and sales strategies to penetrate the server market.
The individual will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive marketing communications strategy including media, trade publications, conferences, seminars.
Assume a leadership role utilizing field experiences in developing next generation solutions both alone and with strategic partners such as EMC, NetApp, VMware, BMC, Oracle and others.
This position may require travel.
Related Business/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Expertise:
• A minimum of 5-10 years selling experience and demonstration of overachievement in server manufacturer environments with emphasis on selling complex and disruptive server architectural solutions to large size organizations. Preference will be made to individuals who have led the launch of new server platform offerings into Canada.
• Excellent business and technical presentation and customer interaction skills required.
• Experienced with Strategic Account Planning and Consultative Sales. Demonstrated ability to understand and interact with senior level management CXO levels.
• Technical knowledge and competency of Server, Virtualization and Application platforms.
• Excellent track record in meeting and exceeding aggressive sales quotas
• Prior experience in an overlay sales role would be an asset.
• Competence in using a variety of selling techniques to create and drive business opportunities.
• Prefer either an engineering degree or bachelors or master’s degree in business administration or equivalent.
