Product Manager within a fast paced entrepreneurial Physical Security group.

Key responsibilities include:
•Develops and owns high level, complex product line strategies and major market programs and initiatives – creates and drives strategy and content of multiple product launches.
•Creates and drives implementation of advertising, direct marketing, promotions and seminars and proactive management of revenue, profit and growth.
•Leads cross-functional teams; influences and coordinates marketing activities across multiple business units and lines of businesses.
•Builds relationships at all levels with Cisco sales/marketing staff, suppliers, distributors and resellers and customers.
•Integrates customer and market requirements with Cisco products and services to create solutions and communicates to external partners and customers.
•As a subject matter expert in servers and storage systems, understands customer requirements and competition, and apply these competencies to defining software features in PRD’s, working with Engineering to implement these and supporting the sales force in turning these features into competitive differentiation and sales.
•Understands competitor’s positioning and strategies and develops Cisco competitive strategy and positioning.
•Resolves escalated product, service and customer satisfaction and cross-organization process issues.
The ideal candidate will use their extensive technical, industry and business knowledge in marketing internetworking technologies and applications to develop and evolve long-term strategies while consistently driving tactical projects in championing product lines, service lines and technology both inside and outside Cisco. Success in this role will involve exercising broad independent judgment where you will solve virtually all team and cross-functional problems with little or minimal managerial input or assistance. Dedicated to customer success, you will tackle complex issues in creative ways and use originality, ingenuity and expertise to create effective and lasting solutions.
Technical background including a detailed understanding of servers and storage systems in a networking environment. Knowledge of Physical Security and/or Digital Video Surveillance is a plus. Also highly desirable is excellent knowledge of networking and Cisco products and services. Demonstrated superior verbal, written communication, presentation, project management, negotiation and decision-making skills are required.
Position typically requires BS Engineering, Marketing or equivalent plus 5 years related experience. MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
