The successful candidate will join the TelePresence Systems Business Unit with Cisco’s Emerging Technologies Group. The TelePresence Systems Business Unit, TSBU, is chartered with creating products and solutions for immersive video communications. TSBU is looking for candidates that want to join and aggressive and seasoned team to innovate and bring to market new generations of Cisco TelePresence. The position reports directly to the Director of Product Marketing TSBU.
The Product Management role will focus on the creation of new TelePresence endpoints and sustaining development of its current product line.
Responsibilities Include:
•Definition and execution of a complete lifecycle strategy for Cisco TelePresence offerings.
•Define and communicate new products, features, functionality and solutions for new Cisco TelePresence products.
•Leads the project management of multiple product or service launches including press releases, launch materials, customer presentations and sales training materials.
•Develops and drives competitive marketing campaigns to ensure Cisco's market share and profitability.
•Collaborates cross-functionally on competitive selling, pricing, market development and field solutions.
•Participates or leads cross-functional product team issues.
•Close coordination and teamwork with engineering to drive new project through development, market introduction, and life cycle management.
•Close coordination with customers and close sales leads to ensure market success and competitiveness of offerings
Requirements:
•Typically requires BSEE/CS or, Marketing or equivalent plus 10+ years related experience in marketing internetworking and video communication technologies and applications. MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
•Specific knowledge and prior experience with video networking technologies and protocols, audio/video/data component interfaces, video gateway and gatekeeper technologies, and video multipoint platforms.
•Specific knowledge and prior experience with relevant networking technologies, e.g. routing, switching, TCP/IP, Multicast, MPLS.
•Understanding of or experience in applying complete life cycle marketing, including launch, transition, end of life, through both direct sales and indirect channels
•Authority, judgment and experience to drive strategic, cross-functional projects with other Cisco business units.
•Strong written, oral and presentation skills.
•Strong project management, negotiations and decision-making skills.
•Ability to build relationships among Cisco sales/ marketing staff, distributors and resellers and customers. Able to communicate complex technical and market issues clearly.
•Expertise and creativity for innovative marketing recommendations and solutions.
