Embedded Systems Software Manager, TelePresence Systems

The successful candidate will join the TelePresence Technology Group with Cisco’s Emerging Technologies Business Group. The TelePresence Technology Group (TTG) is chartered with creating products and solutions for immersive video communications. The Systems Software Manager will join TTG and manage a team of engineers developing software for our current and next generation TelePresence endpoints.

Responsibilities:
- Lead engineers working on Manageability, Platform Services, Firmware and Diagnostic software development.
- Develop projects plans, assign resources and track project progress against plan.
- Assign resources to customer escalations and Development Test issues to ensure product quality and development milestones.
- Work with Product Management to turn product requirements into engineering plans.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings with engineers and managers to resolve complex technical issues and improve development processes.
- Coordinate project plans, and communicate status and expectations with CA, Development Test, Escalations, Product/Program Management, Manufacturing and Hardware teams.

Requirements:
- 3-5 years of Software Management or Team Lead Experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Software, Hardware and Manufacturing Engineers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Follows software engineering procedures and processes.
- MSEE/CS combined with 5-7 years or BSEE/CS combined with 7+ yrs related experience, and 10-15 years of software development experience with embedded Linux based products involving custom hardware development.
